Visit Lima and Cusco as your base of operations and take extensions to the various historical and mysterious options available from this tour.

LIMA AND CUSCO - Main program
6 days / 5 nights

DAY 01 LIMA
Arrive in Lima. Transfer to selected hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 02 LIMA / CUSCO
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, transfer to selected hotel. Rest of the morning at leisure. Afternoon city tour including the surrounding ruins.

DAY 03 CUSCO / URUBAMBA / CUSCO
Full day excursion to the Sacred Valley of Urubamba to visit the village of Pisac and its colorful market. After lunch, visit Ollantaytambo fortress. Return to Cusco for overnight.

DAY 04 CUSCO / MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO
Early transfer to the station on time to catch the train to Machu Picchu. Upon arrival to Aguas Calientes, bus transportation to the entrance of the ruins where the guided tour of the Lost City will start. Buffet lunch at a local restaurant before returning to Cusco and to the hotel.

DAY 05 CUSCO / LIMA
Transfer to the airport for the flight back to Lima. Upon arrival transfer to selected hotel. Afternoon city tour including the historical centre of Lima: the Cathedral, San Francisco Convent and the residential districts of San Isidro and Miraflores.

DAY 06 LIMA / HOMEBOUND OR EXTENSIONS
Transfer to the airport for your flight back home or continue with extensions

Extensions

THE MOCHICA AND CHIMU EMPIRES
3 days / 2 nights

DAY 01 TRUJILLO
Upon arrival in Trujillo, meeting and transfer to selected hotel.

DAY 02 TRUJILLO
City tour including the Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon. Lunch at Huanchaco fishing village. In the afternoon visit Chan Chan, the capital of the Chimu empire.

DAY 03 TRUJILLO / CHICLAYO / LIMA
Early departure by private car headed to Chiclayo. En route stopover at El Brujo archaeological complex. Upon arrival at Chiclayo area, visit the Museum of Sican. Lunch at local restaurant before going to the new Tumbas Reales Museum. (Museums closed on Mondays). Tour ends at the airport.

PUERTO MALDONADO
3 days / 2 nights

DAY 01 PUERTO MALDONADO
Upon arrival in Puerto Maldonado and after a brief city tour, embark in small canoes for navigation to the selected lodge. After lunch, exploration of the jungle around the lodge. Full board included.

DAY 02 PUERTO MALDONADO
Full journey to explore the area. Walking and canoe excursions scheduled to observe animals in their natural habitat. Full board.

DAY 03 PUERTO MALDONADO
Return to Puerto Maldonado and immediate transfer to the airport for the flight to Lima or Cusco.

PUNO AND LAKE TITICACA
3 days / 2 nights

DAY 01 CUSCO / PUNO
Leave by regular tourist bus service to Puno visiting en route the small village of Andahuaylillas and the remains at Racchi. Evening arrival in Puno and transfer to selected hotel. Lunch en route included.

DAY 02 PUNO
Full day excursion by boat to Taquile. On the way back stop at the incredible floating islands of the Uros. Lunch included.

DAY 03 PUNO / JULIACA
Transfer to Juliaca airport.

AREQUIPA, THE WHITE CITY
3 days/2 nights

DAY 01 AREQUIPA
Upon arrival at Arequipa airport, assistance and transfer to selected hotel. Afternoon guided tour of the city featuring the Convent of Santa Catalina, a fascinating relic of colonial times.

DAY 02 AREQUIPA / COLCA
Departure for a full day journey to the Colca Valley. Several stops will be made to photograph the vicunas at Pampa Cañahuas. On arrival at Chivay, lunch at a local restaurant and accommodation at selected hotel.

DAY 03 COLCA / PUNO
Early departure to the Cruz del Cóndor to admire the Canyon at one of its deepest points and look at the majestic condors in flight. Transportation to Puno.

NASCA AND PARACAS
3 days / 2 nights

DAY 01 LIMA / NASCA
Transfer to the bus terminal. Departure from Lima on regular bus service along the Panamerican Highway to Nasca where you will arrive after a 7- hour ride. Overnight.

DAY 02 NASCA / PARACAS
Morning over flight of the famous Nasca Lines and designs etched on the Pampa de San Jose (30 minute flight). In the afternoon, transportation to the Peninsula of Paracas. Overnight.

DAY 03 PARACAS / LIMA
Morning yacht cruise to Ballestas Islands. On the return trip, the famous "candelabra" can be seen at the distance. Departure by regular bus to Lima.
